reNgine is an open-source reconnaissance framework released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0).

GPL-3.0 License Summary

The GPL-3.0 is a copyleft license that requires derivative works to be licensed under the same terms. Key permissions and conditions:

  • Limitations: Liability, warranty

These proprietary enhancements are licensed under the HailBytes Commercial License (see below).

HailBytes Commercial License

HailBytes proprietary components (deployment automation, enhancements, integrations, and support services) are provided under the following commercial license terms:

Grant of License

Subject to payment of applicable fees and compliance with these terms, HailBytes grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Deploy and use HailBytes products in your organization
  • Access updates, patches, and technical support
  • Use deployment automation and infrastructure templates
  • Access proprietary features and enhancements

Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense HailBytes proprietary components
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble proprietary components
  • Remove or modify proprietary notices or labels
  • Use for competitive purposes or to develop competing products
  • Transfer license to another entity without written consent

Intellectual Property

HailBytes retains all rights, title, and interest in proprietary components. Your license does not grant ownership rights, only a limited right to use as specified herein.

Termination

This license terminates automatically if you violate any terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of proprietary components and destroy all copies. Open-source components (GoPhish, reNgine) remain available under their respective licenses.
